Important Update: Transition to MiTN Filing System
Beginning with the April 2025 filings, all electronic reports must be submitted using the new MiTN (Michigan Transparency Network) system. The MERTS filing system will no longer be accepted.
What This Means for You
Migration of Data: If you previously used MERTS, you can import your contacts and relevant data from your MERTS file into MiTN.
Alternatively: You can enter your contacts and financial data manually.
New Filing Process: MiTN introduces a new interface and submission process. It is essential to familiarize yourself with this platform before the April deadline to avoid last-minute issues. You will need to set up a MiTN login and request access to your committee.
Training & Resources: The Michigan Bureau of Elections provides guidance on using MiTN, which can be accessed on their website.
